The impact of BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) genetic status on cognitive outcomes following traumatic brain injury

Description 
There is evidence to suggest that the val66met polymorhpism in the BDNF gene can impact cognitive function - particularly memory. This association has not been well studied in traumatic brain injury samples. This study will involve using existing data sets of genetic status and cognitive functioning to examine whether there is an association between carriage of the met allele and cognitive function following brain injury.
