Role of wearable device or mobile app in prevention of violence against women: A systematic review and qualitative analysis

Recent and emerging technologies have major implications for women's safety. Some of these advancements, such as apps and devices designed to enhance women's safety, aim to mitigate the risks of technology facilitated violence. However, the rapid development of these tools can create challenges in fully understanding their broader implications, both positive and negative, as well as their effectiveness in addressing the root causes of gender-based violence. As part of a broader project, the systematic review and qualitative analysis will analyze source data with the purpose of identifying the challenge posed by the fast-changing nature of technology, while also highlighting the complexity of evaluating such protective technologies.
